Western roads

If you decide to travel by car on your next vacation, think heading west. Whether you are going in your vehicle or renting one is not important, as long as you perform the necessary maintenance and bring all the necessities to keep your trip safe and enjoyable. (Refer to the home page – Traveling by car).

The western roads offer a variety of fun and entertainment as well as one of the most scenic drives in the United States. You can star in Las Vegas and head to the Grand Canyon via US-93, I-401, and AZ -64. On the other hand, you can head from Las Vegas to San Francisco. If you have more than ten days to spare, you can start in Las Vegas and from there to the Grand Canyon, then Four Corners, followed by Monument Valley to Salt Lake and then Reno, and ending in San Francisco. However, this is a long road trip and will take you more than 2200 miles.

On the other hand, if you would like to travel the western roads in a clockwise direction, start in Las Vegas, stop at the Grand Canyon, and then to Phoenix, followed by Los Angeles or San Diego, follow the coast to San Francisco and from there you can head back to Las Vegas – passing thru Reno or Yosemite. If you can, visit Death Valley.

Remember that you will find plenty of activities and sightseeing along the way. You might want to go camping, hiking, swimming, boating, picnicking, or just sightseeing. It all depends on how much time you have. This is one of the most beautiful areas that the US has to offer the road traveler.
